Spider-Man 2.1 includes new trivia, a more focused look at the visual effects of the film, and eight minutes of new footage, fully integrated into the movie. It needs none of it, however, as Spider-Man 2 was already close to comic book adaptation perfection.

The trouble is that Microsoft has prioritised the wrong bits, taken the wrong inspiration. And the sad irony is that if it had made different choices, we'd have got a simpler, faster, safer Vista a lot sooner. So what sources and where has MS got its ideas from? And where should it have done so instead? You don't have to look far. System-wide instant search and a query-driven, location-independent view of the filesystem are very useful things to have.
Eatery owner studies decline

They invested their family savings and purchased Alfie's Fish & Chips on North H Street, a business that had originated at that location in 1969.

A former Russian KGB spy has gone on a hunger strike in Britain demanding a decent defector's pension from the government for passing secrets to British intelligence during the Cold War, RIA Novosty reports. A former double agent, Viktor Makarov fled to the U.K. 15 years ago hoping to continue his career in intelligence. But his dream did not materialize, and Makarov has since survived on benefits in a small town in the north of England, the BBC said Monday. Makarov was arrested in 1987 and released after five years in a Soviet labor camp, when the Soviet Union broke up in 1992. He was then smuggled to the U.K. with the help of MI6, the British Secret Intelligence Service. The British government has denied Makarov a pension, as he is not officially recognized as a defector. This is not the first hunger strike for Makarov, 51, in Britain.

Honda sends some CR-V production south of the border
In 2008, 50,000 CR-Vs will be cranked out of Honda's assembly plant in Guadalajara, Mexico. Currently, the plant is used to build Accord sedans, to the tune of about 30k per year, but when CR-V production begins, they'll be no more hecho en Mexico Accords finding their way north. Instead, production of Honda's midsize sedan will move to their plant in Marysville, Ohio.The move, which reportedly cost Honda over $8 million in upgrades, is due to a high level of demand for the 'lil 'ute in the U.S. that isn't being met by the automaker's plant in East Liberty, Ohio.Of the 50,000 CR-Vs to be produced annually, half will head into the States, while the rest will remain south of the border.
