Handle money well and you will be more attractive to potential mates

Here, from one of our readers, is information for accurately assessing how well your date handles money.

"My husband made more money than me – he had a six-figure income. When we both worked, it seemed like we never had a handle on spending. After children arrived, I eventually became a stay-at-home mother for our three children. As I paid the bills, I became aware of our spending habits. Elon project to raise funds to feed the hungry

A group of Elon University senior seminar students are planning a class project to host a benefit dinner for the Caring Kitchen. The kitchen has been serving warm meals to homeless and low-income people in the Burlington area since 1989. The students goal is to raise $1,000 to go toward the meals that the kitchen serves each Saturday and Sunday. The dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Powerline Church, 701 Manning Ave., Elon. The students will prepare and serve the meal and will also organize a Chinese auction to raise money. We decided to do this project because we wanted to raise money and awareness for the Caring Kitchen using all of our different skills in communications, said senior Caitlin Burke. The students have been working in their specific fields to organize and plan the benefit dinner.
