Clemens should start making a move soon

The e-mail arrived back from agent Randy Hendricks within a few minutes of the question being asked.

"No updates," it said.

But that won't be the case for much longer. Roger Clemens is said to be at the Masters this weekend, enjoying the azaleas and the golf. He also plans to attend the Grand Prix of Houston later this month.

At some point he also will play baseball. The best guess is that Clemens will select a team by the middle of May, plot out a series of minor-league starts, then return to the majors in mid- to late June. It's the same plan he followed last season.

The difference is that last year Clemens was only really interested in playing for the Astros. Now the Yankees and Red Sox are much more viable choices for the 44-year-old.

Politicians Must Take a Stand Against Illegal Immigrants

Rafael Ramirez Perez, an illegal alien hit and killed Amy Kortlang, in a drunk driving accident. The accident happened in Virginia. Bill O'Riley made the point on his show on Fox News (the O' Riley Factor) that if Ramirez should have been deported back to his country. The man had been convicted of 3 DUIs but was still allowed to live in America. If he had of been deported, he could not have killed Amy Kortland.

In real estate, bad news can be good

Real estate has its market cycles like any type of investment, and lately it's been getting bad press.

Investors may have second thoughts about putting money in this asset class right now, what with all the talk about a bursting housing bubble, the glut of unsold condominiums and homes, declining property values and the growing number of foreclosures.

But the depressing news may mean that this is an opportune time to get into real estate.

"Owning some paid-for, income-producing real estate, in addition to having a solid portfolio of other investments, can be a very good thing," says radio talk-show host Dave Ramsey, best-selling author of "The Total Money Makeover."

For investors willing to invest for the long term, owning properties "can be a path to financial freedom for many," Ramsey says.
