Game review: 'March Madness 2007'

But "March Madness 2007" preceded those events. The game has questionable graphics and gameplay for an Electronic Arts title, and is way more than a step back from "March Madness 2006." That was simply a better game.

"March Madness" has all of the NCAA teams and allows you play with hoop squads from large conferences and others. The sound is pretty good, but it takes a lot more than cool noises to make a game fun. The game allows you to hook up to Xbox Live, and gamers can create their own virtual brackets and play against other gamers. That is one element of the title that makes the game tolerable, but only for a short time.

There's been some talk in the gaming community that Electronic Arts was so focused on creating a superb "Madden 2007" that game developers lacked focus in creating some of its other sports titles.

Health insurance concerns top conversation on picket line

PASCAGOULA -- Although some have argued that Northrop Grumman's offer for workers in the apprenticeship programs is a good deal, Valery Mitchell has a different opinion.

"It ain't good yet," said Mitchell of Gautier, who joined about a dozen other pipe welders and pipefitters on the picket line Sunday outside the company's Ship Systems Ingalls Operations in Pascagoula.

As the strike nears its third week, workers said they have not heard anything new since talks between union and company officials broke down for the third time, despite a federal mediator's presence.

Entry level pay for the shipyard's regular apprenticeship programs will increase 76 percent to $15.06 per hour, according to the company.

Mitchell, who has been at the shipyard for 19 months, said she was also there to support her coworkers who have more than 30 and 40 years invested at Mississippi's largest private employer.

Meet The Lobbyist People Love To Hate

For example, one commercial, under the Center for Consumer Freedom label, shows a child whose ice cream is taken away and adults whose food and drink are likewise snatched. "Everywhere you turn, someone is telling us what we can't eat Find out who's driving the food police," explains the voiceover. Critics call him a hired gun, but Berman says he's not defending corporate America, merely educating Americans - with the paid support of companies. "I go out to people and I say, 'If you believe in what I believe, will you help fund it?' I don't know if that's a hired gun or not. I do get paid for educating people," he says. "If thats my biggest crime, I stand accused." Berman also says what he does is a passion rather than a means of support. "I was making a lot of money before I ever started this firm.

Computer glitch means big bill for vacant home

For the past three months I received a $0 bill at an address on South Bendix Drive (my mother is deceased and I am the estate holder). I had the gas turned on in October in my name. The home is vacant at this time and has been since Sept. 22. I asked NIPSCO if should I send something in and was told no, the bill is correct. I told them the bill said I would be billed later and I explained I did not want a large surprise for their mistake.

March 16: I cashed a check from NIPSCO for my mother's address in the amount of $25.32. They told me a credit on my mother's account was left.

March 17: I received a gas bill for $695.85 at my mother's address. When I contacted NIPSCO on March 20, I was told this was a correct bill. I was also told if it was paid after April 2, I would have to pay $716.60, because of a late fee.
